For a bit
of diversity, I decided to start doing some duathlon races. They are 4
races organised in Phoenix Park by BelPark Triathlon Club,
taking place on the first Wednesday of May, June, July and August
The first 3 races consists of a 2.7km run, followed by a 12kms cycle, and another 2.7km run.
The fourth race is double the distance (5.4km run, 24km cycle, 5.4km run)

My First Duathlon - 2.7km/12km/2.7km
Date: 07th May 2008 (took place on Tuesday 13th May)

Time: 00:49:45 (winner 00:36:55)
Splits: Run 11:43 / Cycle 22:34 / Run 12:54
Place: 103rd (159 finishers)
Race 2:
Date: 04th June 2008
I did miss this one as I ran the Cork Marathon on the
02nd June. Anyway, it was raining!!!

My Second Duathlon - 2.7km/12km/2.7km

Time: 00:48:55 (winner 00:37:12)
Splits: Run 11:18 / Cycle 21:34 / Run 13:25
Place: 138th (181 finishers)
Race 4:
Sprint Distance - 5.4km/20km/2.7km - My 40th Birthday
Date: 06th August 2008.
That's the BIG one.. almost double the distance....
Has somebody mentioned "midlife crisis" ????
